Algonquin Police Blotter: Domestic Battery; Retail Theft

• Ryan A. Staniulis, 19, of the 1900 block of Dorchester Avenue, Algonquin, was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on a McHenry County warrant for theft. He was released after posting $200, with a court date of July 19 in McHenry County.

• A 12-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on a charge of theft under $300. He was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of his mother.

• A 16-year-old Crystal Lake boy and a 17-year-old Cary boy were arrested at Wal-Mart, 1410 S. Randall Road, on charges of retail theft. Each was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Aug. 31 in Algonquin.

July 6, 2011

• Dillian L. Harris, 19, of the 2100 block of Teton Parkway, Algonquin, was arrested at Lake Cook Road and Haegers Bend on a Winnebago County warrant for domestic battery. He was released after posting $1,000, with a court date of July 25 in Winnebago County.

July 7, 2011

• Arvid C. Urdal, 34, of the 100 block of Canterbury, McHenry, was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on Cook County warrant for failure to appear on a driving while license suspended charge, and on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear on a driving while license suspended charge. He was released after posting $500 on the Cook County warrant and has a court date of Aug. 4, in Cook County. He posted $300 on the DuPage County warrant and has a court date of Aug. 8 in DuPage County.

• A 17-year-old Huntley girl and a 17-year-old Lake in the Hills girl arrested at Wal-Mart, 1410 S. Randall Road, on charges of retail theft. They were released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Aug. 31, in Algonquin.

• Nestor Ramirez-Hernan, 29, of the 800 block of Ollie Court, Carpentersville, was arrested at Sandbloom Road and Compton Drive on a Carpentersville warrant for DUI. He was picked up by Carpentersville police when unable to post bond.

• Jorge A. Pinda, 30, of the 600 block of Virginia Road, Crystal Lake, was arrested at Randall Road and Commons Drive on charges of no valid driver’s license and expired registration. He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Aug. 10 in McHenry County.

• Michael A. Brandt, 35, of the 1000 block of Meghan Drive, Algonquin, was arrested at his home on a McHenry County warrant for reckless driving. He was released after posting $1,000, with a court date of Aug. 8, in McHenry County.
