Algonquin Police Blotter: Assault, Retail Theft, Resisting an Officer

Algonquin Police Department reports and arrests for June 27 through June 29.

Algonquin police made the following arrested between June 27 and June 29. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested Danielle M. Sokolosky, 19, of 427 S. Hubbard St. in Algonquin, and Jordan Maranto, 18, of 24 W. Oak St. in Lake in the Hills, at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road at 5:46 p.m. on June 27. Both were charged with retail theft. Sokolosky was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on June 30 in Algonquin. Maranto was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on June 30 in McHenry County.

Assault

Police arrested Joseph C. Melendez, 48, of 381 Brookside Avenue in Algonquin, at his home at 11:02 a.m. on June 29. He is charged with domestic battery and assault and was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Resisting Arrest

Police arrested Michael T. Gregory, 43, of 4351 Whitehall Lane in Algonquin, at 10:37 p.m. on June 29 at his home. He is charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest and was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
