Algonquin Woman Arrested for Child Endangerment; Several Charged with Retail Theft

Algonquin Police release arrest reports through Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013.

Retail Theft

A 15-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Sept. 14, and charged with retail theft at Kohl’s, 734 S. Randall Rd. He was petitioned into Juvenile Court and then released into the custody of his mother.

A 14-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, and charged with retail theft. He was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents.


Felony Retail Theft

Jeffrey S. Hunter, 22, of the 900 block of Condgon, Elgin, and Tiffany M. Roberts, 19, of the 500 block of Eichler Dr., West Dundee, were arrested at 8:26 p.m. Sept. 15, and each charged with felony retail theft at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Rd. They were transported to the McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Aggravated Battery

Michael A. Bottcher, 32, last known address of Monroe Street in Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 7:55 a.m. Sept. 17, and charged with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer at Walmart parking lot, 1410 S. Randall Rd. He was released into the custody of Lake in the Hills Police Department.


Driving While License Suspended

Ryan Pozezinski, 21, of the 700 Ridge Dr., Marengo, was arrested at 12:28 p.m. Sept. 17, and charged with driving while license suspended and disregarding stop sign. He was taken Hanson Road and Harnish Drive. He was released after posting $150, and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 9.

Child Endangerment

Karen A. Jones, 46, of the 2400 block of Stonegate Rd., Algonquin, was arrested at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, and charged with endangering the life of a child. She posted $150 and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 24.

Theft

A 16-year-old Carpentersville boy was arrested at 2:28 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and charged with theft. He was taken into custody at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Dr. He was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of her parents.


Underage Drinking, Multiple Charges

Alissa S. Demonte, 18, of the 6700 block of Pheasant Trail, Cary, was arrested at 11:29 p.m. Sept. 22, and charged with:
  • zero tolerance
  • unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
  • unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor
  • failure to reduce speed
  • failure to notify after striking unattended vehicle
  • improper lane use. 

She was taken into custody at Eastgate Drive and Webster Street. She was released on a personal recognizance bond. She is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 30.
