Algonquin Police Arrests for Retail Theft, Domestic Battery, Wanted on Warrant

Algonquin Police Department releases arrest reports through Aug. 21, 2013.



Note: The following information was obtained from the Algonquin Police Department arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.
 

No Valid Drivers License


Agustin R. Santana, 22, of the 20 block of James, McHenry, was arrested at 6:29 p.m. Aug. 17, and charged with no valid driver's license and speeding in a construction zone. He was taken into custody at West Algonquin Road and Pyott Road. He posted $150 and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18.  

DUI


Herman B. Kluesener, 44, of the 600 block of David St., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Aug. 17, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08. Kluesener posted $100 and his drivers license for bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 25. 

Daniel T. Cashen, 23, of the 800 block of Bristol Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 10:51 p.m. Aug. 22, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. He was taken into custody at Harnish Drive and Stonegate Road. He posted $100 and his drivers license for bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 2. 

Domestic Battery


Timothy H. Schreier, 44, of the 1200 block of Old Mill Lane, Algonquin, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. Aug 18, and charged with domestic battery. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock, where he was awaiting a bond hearing. 


Attempted Retail Theft


Dasheria M. Caples, 24, of the 5600 block of Whispering Way, Loves Park, was arrested at 6:43 p.m. Aug. 19, and charged with attempted retail theft, criminal damage to property and obstructing a peace officer. She was also wanted on warrant out of Winnebago County for felony retail theft. She was taken into custody at Randall Road and Huntley Road. She was transported to McHenry County, when unable to post bond.

Wanted on Warrant


Kevion C. Prokop, 31, of the 200 block of La Fox River Drive, Algonquin, was arrested at 8:26 a.m. Aug. 21, on a warrant out of Boone County for failure to pay fines related to a DUI arrest. He was also charged with no seat belt and no proof of insurance. He was taken into custody at Wynnfield Drive and Sleepy Hollow Road. He was released after posting bond, and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 17.
