Algonquin Man Pleads Guilty to Possessing Child Porn

John Carlson, 38, of Algonquin, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Nov. 26, in federal court that he possessed child pornography that had crossed state lines, the Northwest Herald reports. 

Carlson could be sentenced up to 10 years in federal prison. His sentencing hearing is May 9. He was arrested in August 2012, and in August 2011, admitted that he possessed images of children engaged in sexually explicit acts, the Herald story states.
