An Algonquin man has been charged in federal court with two counts of transporting child pornography via the Internet and one count of possessing child pornography that crossed state lines.
John Carlson, 37, could face up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervised released and a fine of up to $250,000 on each count if convicted, according to a Federal Bureau of Investigation press release.
Charged in a separate case was Jason Nicoson, 34, of Roscoe who also faces two counts of transporting child pornography via the Internet and one count of possessing child pornography that crossed state lines, according to the news release.
, Illinois State Police and IllinoisInternet Crimes Against Children Taskforce investigated the cases, according to the news release.
