Algonquin Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash

The 55-year-old man was on his way home after visiting his wife in the hospital.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Joseph Kwak, of the 2000 block of Carlisle Street, Algonquin, had been visiting his wife at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He was on his way home to get her toothbrush and pillow when he ran a red light and was struck by a sport utility vehicle shortly after 8 p.m.

Any motorist who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Barrington Hills Police Department Investigations Division at 1-847-551-3006.
