Algonquin, LITH Police Blotter: March 26-March 31

The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following reports and made various arrests between March 26 through March 31, 2012. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Lake in the Hills Police Blotter

8:18 a.m. March 26, 2012: Police arrested Kenneth Voncky, 49, of Elgin, for driving while license revoked, suspended registration and no valid insurance. Police took him into custody at Rakow Road and Route 31. He was released on bond. 

12:55 a.m. March 27, 2012: Police arrested Diane Jonas, 19, of 4602 Magnolia Lane in Lake in the Hills, for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, improper lane usage, consumption of alcohol by a minor and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was arrested at Albrecht and Lakewood roads in Lake in the Hills. She was released on bond. 

4:01 a.m. March 29, 2012: Police arrested Tiffany L. Zurek, 24, of McHenry, for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane usage. She was taken into custody at Randall Road and McHenry Avenue and later released on bond. 

8:14 a.m. March 30, 2012: Police arrested Jaime Tovar, 45, of 5504 Windgate Way in Lake in the Hills, on two counts of domestic battery. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail. 

10:14 p.m. March 30, 2012: Police arrested Raymond J. Magnus, 46, of 5332 Briarfield Lane in Lake in the Hills, on two counts of domestic battery. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail. 

3:55 a.m. March 31, 2012: Police arrested Rebecca A. Plodzien, 32, of 4514 Linden Avenue in Algonquin, for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and no insurance. She was arrested at Randall Road and Algonquin Road and Lake in the Hills. She was released on bond. 

4:05 a.m. March 31, 2012: Police arrested Andrew C. Block, 27, 88 Harvest Gate in Lake in the Hills, for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content greater than .08, speeding and failure to notify of address change. He was arrested at Randall Road and Harnish Drive in Algonquin. He was released on bond.

9:21 a.m. March 27, 2012: Police arrested Jorge Duarte-Meraz, 38, of Schaumburg, for a Kane County warrant for contempt. He was taken into custody at 500 E. Algonquin Road and transported to Kane County Jail. He was unable to post bond. 

9:37 p.m. March 27, 2012: Police arrested Monica N. Mennen, 31, of Los Angeles, Calif., for driving while license suspended and speeding. She was taken into custody at Randall Road and Huntington Drive. She was released after posting $150. She is next expected in court on May 2 in McHenry County. 

6:54 p.m. March 28, 2012: Police arrested Richard, L. Robinson, of Cary, for driving while license revoked and disobeying a traffic control signal. He was taken into custody at Algonquin Road and Harvest Gate. He was released after posting $150. He is next expected in court on May 2 in McHenry County. 

5:47 p.m. March 29, 2012: Sandra A. Swan, 45, of Wadsworth, was charged with retail theft after being taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. Police also took into custody Tara B. Ficklen, 29, of Lake Geneva, Wis., at Walmart for retail theft, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Swan was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on May 2 in McHenry County. Ficklen was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
