Algonquin, LITH Police Blotter: March 14-March 19

The Algonquin Police Department and the Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following reports and made various arrests in recent days. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Police Blotter: March 14-March 19, 2012

March 14, 2012

6:06 p.m. March 14, 2012: Antoun D. Hawkins, 19, of Teton Parkway in Algonquin, was arrested at Gaslight Drive and Braewood Drive in Algonquin on a warrant out of McHenry County for two counts of aggravated battery and three counts of domestic battery. He was taken to McHenry County Jail and was unable to post bond. 

10:17 p.m. March 14, 2012: David A. Bieschke, 18, of Carol Stream, was taken into custody at Algonquin Lake Elementary School, 1401 Compton Drive in Algonquin, and charged with criminal damage to property. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is expected in court on April 12 in Kane County. 

11:24 p.m. March 14, 2012: Three men were taken into custody at 261 Lake Gillilan Way in Algonquin and now face criminal damage to property charges: 

  • Evan J. Perna, 19, of Wheaton, was charged with criminal damage to property and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor
  • Mark A. Krusic, 20, was charged with criminal damage to property
  • Michael A. Walsh, of 261 Lake Gillilan Way, 21, was charged with criminal damage to property

All were released after posting $150 bond and all are expected in court on April 12 in Kane County. 

11:27 a.m. March 14, 2012: Jennifer F. Lupo, 34, of Lake in the Hills, was arrested at Litchfield Lane and Miller Road for driving while license revoked. She was later released on bond. 

11:27 p.m. March 14, 2012: Christina A. Barajas, 20, of Crystal Lake, was arrested at Randall Road and Acorn Lane for driving while license suspended and no seat belt. She was released on bond. 

March 15, 2012

7:35 p.m. March 15, 2012: Donald A. Rundlett, 49, of Rolling Meadows, was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive, and charged with failure to give aid or information and no proof of insurance. He was released after posting his Illinois driver's license. His next court date is set for April 10 in McHenry County. 

11:07 p.m. March 15, 2012: Heidi M. Scherer, 29, of 710 Evergreen Court in Algonquin, was taken into custody at 1514 N. Harrison St. in Algonquin, and charged with two counts of domestic battery. She was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

12:24 a.m. March 15, 2012: Cameron Jamaal Ratcliff, 29, of Harvard, was arrested at Pyott Road and Jennings Drive in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended and speeding in a construction zone. He was released on bond. 

5:18 p.m. March 15, 2012: Ignacio Dominguez, 29, of Wauconda, was arrested at Algonquin Road and Harvest Gate in Lake in the Hills for not having a valid driver's license. 

2:22 p.m. March 15, 2012: Police received a report of a camera and global positioning system removed from a vehicle at Costco, 250 N. Randall Road. The report was turned over to investigations. 

March 16, 2012

11:53 p.m. March 16, 2012: Yunuen B. Jimenez, 44, of Carpentersville, was arrested on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear and no valid driver's license. He was taken into custody at Route 31 and Route 62 and released after posting $300. He is next expected in court on April 4, 2012. 

1:09 a.m. March 16, 2012: Juanita Ibarra, 20, of Carpentersville, was arrested at Frank Road and Willow View Drive and charged for no valid Illinois driver's license, disregarding a stop sign and speeding. He was released on bond. 

6:30 a.m. March 16, 2012: Two GPS units and a purse were taken from two unlocked vehicles in the 4200 block of Rosewood Court. The burglary to motor vehicle reports were turned over to investigations. 

March 17, 2012

1:32 a.m. March 17, 2012: Fitzgerald C. Harris, 20, of Palatine, was taken into custody at Randall Road and Stonegate Road and charged with improper lane usage and zero tolerance. Harris was released after posting his Illinois driver's license. He is next expected in court on April 17, 2012. 

3:39 a.m. March 17, 2012: Michael S. Kasper, 21, of 206 Hillcrest Drive in Algonquin, was taken into custody at 25 Arrowhead Drive in Algonquin and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting $150 bond and is next expected in court on April 18. 

11:27 p.m. March 17, 2012: Freddy Garcia, 30, of Chicago, was taken into custody at Randall Road and Stonegate Road in Algonquin and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, unsafe backing and no proof of insurance. He was released after posting $100 and his Illinois driver's license. He is expected in court on April 18. 

11:26 a.m. March 17, 2012: A 79-year-old man was taken to Sherman Hospital following a three-vehicle accident at Algonquin Road and Hilltop Drive in Lake in the Hills.  

March 18, 2012

12:16 a.m. March 18, 2012: Martin Garcia-Gomez, 45, of Carpentersville, was arrested at Algonquin Road and Meyer Drive and charged with no valid driver's license, no proof of insurance and speeding. He was released after posting $150 and is expected in court on April 18, 2012. 

3:13 p.m. March 18, 2012: Juan L. Majarro, 36, of Carpentersville, was arrested at Randall and County Line roads and charged with driving while license suspended, suspended registration and no proof of insurance. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on April 25. 

6:36 p.m. March 18, 2012: Joseph D. Shaffer, 25, of Sharon, Wis., and Brittanie L. Wilson, 19, of Harvard, were both taken into custody at Wal-Mart 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, and charged with retail theft. Both were released on a notice to appear and are next expected in court at April 25 in Algonquin. 

4:51 a.m. March 18, 2012: Jeffrey D. Wenzel, 24, of Woodstock, was arrested at White Castle, 241 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills, for a charge of private property driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released on bond. 

4:57 a.m. March 18, 2012: Paul M. Hellyer, 34, of 7 South Main Street in Algonquin, was arrested in the 2900 block of Impression Drive in Lake in the Hills for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08 and improper lane usage. He was released on bond. 

4:23 p.m. March 18, 2012: Tyler F. Grodzki, 19, of 1011 Brittany Bend in Lake in the Hills, was arrested for battery, trespassing to land and disorderly conduct. He was later released on bond. 

March 19, 2012

12:24 a.m. March 19, 2012: Brenda L. Hale, 45, of Carpentersville, was arrested at River Road and Route 62 in Algonquin for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. She was released after posting $100 and her Illinois driver's license. She is next expected in court on April 25.
