Algonquin, Lake in the Hills Police Blotter: April 1-April 4

The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following reports and made various arrests between March 26 through March 31, 2012. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Lake in the Hills Police Blotter

4:31 p.m. April 4, 2012: Police arrested Ashley Carrasco, 21, of 714 Cottage Drive in Crystal Lake, for driving while license suspended. She was released on bond. 

3:54 p.m. April 3, 2012: Police arrested Alejandro Aros, 39, of Carpentersville, on a charge of no valid driver's license. He was released on bond. 

8:44 p.m. April 3, 2012: Police arrested Bradley E. Brock, 39, of 504 Willow St., Lake in the Hills, on a warrant out of the Polk County, Fla., Sheriff's Office, for grand theft. He was taken to McHenry County Jail. 

5:25 p.m. April 3, 2012: Police arrested Michele L. Glendenning, 39, of 455 Brandy Drive, Crystal Lake, on a charge of no valid driver's license. She later was released on bond. 

11:28 p.m. April 2, 2012: Police received a report of a radar taken from a vehicle at Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria, 220 N. Randall Road, at 11:28 p.m. April 2, 2012. The report was turned over to investigations. 

4 a.m. April 1, 2012: Police arrested Kelly R. Allen, 30, of Elgin, on a charge of criminal damage to vehicle at Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road. She was released on bond. 

8:50 a.m. April 1, 2012: Police arrested Jesus Medina, 43, of Cicero, on a charge of driving while license suspended at Three Oaks Road and Route 31 in Lake in the Hills. He was released on bond. 

9:38 a.m. April 1, 2012: Police arrested Melvin Walker, 54, of 5 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. 43, Algonquin, on charges of driving while license suspended, unlawful possession of marijuana and no valid insurance. He later was released on bond. 

4:52 p.m. April 1, 2012: Police responded to Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road, for a report of prescription fraud. The report was turned over to investigations.

1:26 a.m. April 1, 2012: Police arrested Nicholas B. Scholly, of 666 Ash St., Carpentersville, on charges of driving while license suspended, improper stopping on roadway and unlawful consumption/possession of alcohol by a minor He was taken into custody at Route 62 and Harrison Street. He was released after posting $150. He is next expected in court on April 9 in McHenry County.

3:03 a.m. April 1, 2012: Police arrested Guillermo A. Rivas-Escoto, 43, of 1565 Webster St., Des Plaines, on charges of driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater, improper lane use and no proof of insurance. He was taken into custody at Randall and Stonegate roads. He was released after posting $100 and his driver’s license. He is next expected in court on May 9 in McHenry County.

11:56 a.m. April 2, 2012: Jason J. Karnowski, 34, of 804 Broadway in McHenry, was arrested on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear on a driving while license suspended.  He was taken into custody at 1215 Rattray. He was transported to McHenry County Jail and was unable to post bond.

9:36 p.m. April 2, 2012: Taylor L. Chuipek, 23, of 2810 Waterfront Avenue in Algonquin, was arrested on a warrant out of Cole County for contempt of court.  She was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department.  She was released after posting $200. She is next expected in court on April 27 in Cole County. 

9:48 p.m. April 3, 2012: James N. Pobol, 44, of 630 Juniper Lane, Algonquin, was charged with domestic battery (two counts), aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon.  He was taken into custody at 916 Cynthia Lane in Lake in the Hills.  He was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

5:05 p.m. April 4, 2012: Emmanuel Gaytan-Duran, 23, of 485 James Way in Cary, was charged with no valid driver’s license, disobeying traffic control device and possession of controlled substance. He was taken into custody at Harrison Street and Edward Street. He was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

8:25 p.m. April 4, 2012: A seventeen-year-old Huntley boy was charged with retail theft.  He was taken into custody at Wal-Mart, 1410 S. Randall Road.  He was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of his mother.

12:30 a.m. April 5, 2012: Aaron M. Ryan, 20, of 1191 Stonegate Road in Algonquin, was charged with driving while license suspended, driving under the influence over, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcohol.  He was taken into custody at Hilltop Drive and W. Algonquin Road. He was released after posting $100 and his Illinois Driver’s License. He is next expected in court on May 16 in McHenry County.
