  • Fox River Man Arrested on Warrant

Algonquin police arrested a 21-year-old Fox River Grove man on a McHenry County warrant for petition to revoke at 7:03 p.m. March 5. Lucas F. Medansky also was wanted on a Kane County warrant for driving under the influence and a DeKalb County warrant for battery. He was taken to McHenry County and was unable to post bond.

  • LITH Teen Arrested for Possessing Weapon at Jacobs High School

10:30 a.m. March 5, 2012: Algonquin police arrested a 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy at on a charge of possessing a weapon on school grounds. He was taken into custody and referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then was released to the custody of his parents. 

  • Algonquin Man Charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance

10:26 p.m. March 2, 2012: Algonquin police arrested Joseph Pinsel, 20, of 1440 Richmond Lane, Algonquin, at his home. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and was taken to Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing.

  • Algonquin Man Charged with DUI, Disobeying Stop Sign

2:31 a.m. March 3, 2012: Algonquin police arrested Christopher M. Misoi, 38, of 2030 Dawson Lane, Algonquin, at Huntington Drive and Stonegate Road and charged him with driving under the influence and disobeying a stop sign. He was released after posting $100 and his driver's license. He next is expected in court on April 4. 

  • Algonquin Man Arrested for Violation of Sex Offender Registration

12:56 p.m. March 5, 2012: John P. Beauchaine, 50, of 1555 Farmhill Drive, Algonquin, was arrested on a McHenry County warrant for violation of sex offender registration. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department. He was released after posting $1,000 and next is expected in court on April 4.

  • Algonquin Man Charged with DUI, Drug Paraphernalia

2:35 p.m. March 5, 2012: Daniel J. Birkenheier, 22, of 1661 Cumberland Parkway, Algonquin, was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on charges of driving under the influence and drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting $100 and his driver's license. He next is expected in court on April 11.

  • Algonquin Man Arrested on Driving While License Suspended

4:49 p.m. March 6, 2012: Jeffrey J. Pilch, 34, of 305 Circle Drive in Algonquin, was arrested at Circle Drive and Huntington Drive in Algonquin on charges of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, no proof of insurance and passing in a no-passing zone. He was released after posting $150. He next is expected in court on April 18. 

  • Algonquin Man Charged with Attempted Obstructing Justice

6:22 p.m. March 6, 2012: Brian A. Dalbello, 19, of 1710 Crofton Drive, Algonquin, was charged with attempted obstructing justice. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive. He was released after posting $150. He next is expected in court on April 11. 

  • Algonquin Boy Arrested in Battery

5:30 p.m. March 7, 2012: A 15-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at Stonegate Road and Wynnfield Drive in Algonquin on a charge of battery. He was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then was released into the custody of his parents.

  • Algonquin Man Arrested on Kane County Warrant

8:12 p.m. March 7, 2012: Sean M. Stanko, 20, who is homeless, was arrested at 300 Eastgate Court on a Kane County warrant for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was transported to Kane County Jail and was unable to post bond.

  • Barrington Man Arrested on Warrant

3:12 p.m. March 8, 2012: Norbert Krysiuk, 21, of Barrington, was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department on a McHenry County warrant for failure to appear on a driving-while-license-revoked charge. He was released after posting $1,500. He next is expected in court on March 21.

  • Crystal Lake Man Charged with Drunken Driving

1:21 a.m. March 11, 2012: Police arrested Eric R. Diedrich, 33, of Crystal Lake, at Randall and Village roads on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane use. He later was released on bond. 

  • Carpentersville man charged with Driving While License Suspended

8:27 a.m. March 11, 2012: Police arrested Joseph L. Patterson, 65, of Carpentersville, in the 1000 block of Illinois 31 on charges of driving while license suspended, no valid registration, improper registration and no valid insurance. He later was released on bond. 

  • Damage Reported at Barbara Key Park

7:46 p.m. March 11, 2012: Police received information that a garbage can was on fire and a picnic table was damaged at Barbara Key Park, 9341 Pyott Road. 

  • Lake in the Hills Man Charged in Hit-and-Run Accident

12:25 a.m. March 10, 2012: Police arrested Panayiotis Papachristodoul, 19, 600 Delaware Drive, Lake in the Hills, in the 600 block of Huron Trail on charges of leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving off roadway and failure to give information or render aid. He was released on bond. 

  • Drunken-Driving Arrest at Moretti’s

3:51 a.m. March 10, 2012: Police arrested Patrick McDonough, 25, 8 Gail Court, Lake in the Hills, at Moretti’s Ristorante & Pizzeria, 220 N. Randall Road, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with blood-alcohol content greater than .08. He was released on bond. 

  • Lake in the Hills Woman Charged with Driving While License Suspended

11:14 a.m. March 10, 2012: Police arrested Maria R. Medema, 32, 2921 Hillsboro Lane, Lake in the Hills, on a charge of driving while license suspended at Ryder Park, 1216 Crystal Lake Road. She was released on bond. 

  • Bartlett Man Arrested on Drunken-Driving Charge

10:11 p.m. March 12, 2012: Police arrested Jake C. Lesiewicz, 21, of Bartlett, in the 20 block of Hilltop Drive, Lake in the Hills. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal transport of alcohol by driver. He was released on bond. 

  • Damage Reported at Sunset Park

8:12 a.m. March 20, 2012: Police received a report of a Coca-Cola vending machine that was damaged at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road.

  • Theft Report at Collision Equipment Experts

9:32 a.m. March 9, 2012: Police received a report of a gas card that had been stolen from Collision Equipment Experts, 9114 Virginia Road. 

  • Hit and Run Report on Thunder Ridge

3:31 p.m. March 9, 2012: Police received a report of a hit-and-run in the 200 block of Thunder Ridge. A vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle. 

  • Liquor Stolen from Dominick’s

6:48 p.m. March 9, 2012: Police received a report of liquor stolen from Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Road. The theft report was turned over to investigations. 

  • Marlowe Middle School Battery Report

11:56 p.m. March 9, 2012: Police received a report of a juvenile pushing another juvenile at Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road, Lake in the Hills. The report is under investigation by the reporting officer. 

  • Drunken-Driving Arrest at Steak ’n Shake

2:50 a.m. March 8, 2012: Police arrested Brian M. Weeks, 1440 Carlisle St., Algonquin, at Steak ’n Shake, 211 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with blood-alcohol content greater than .08, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, failure to use turn signal and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was taken to McHenry County Jail.

  • Cary Man Charged with Drunken Driving

3:01 p.m. March 8, 2012: Police arrested Branden J. Kennedy, 28, of Cary, at Miller Road and Heavens Gate in Lake in the hills on charges of driving while license suspended and failure to use a turn signal. He was released on bond.

  • Criminal Damage to Vehicle on Princeton Lane

11:38 p.m. March 8, 2012: Police received a report regarding the rear window of a vehicle that was smashed in the 5100 block of Princeton Lane in Lake in the Hills.

  • Belvidere Man Charged with Driving While License Suspended

6:05 a.m. March 7, 2012: Police arrested Manuel A. Dominguez, 50, of Belvidere, on a charge of driving while license suspended. He was released on bond. 

  • McHenry Man Charged with No Valid Driver’s License

11:04 a.m. March 7, 2012: Police arrested Roberto I. Luna, 25, of McHenry, at Crystal Lake Road and Deer Path in Lake in the Hills on charges of no valid driver's license, revoked registration and no proof of valid insurance. He was released on bond. 

  • Teen Arrested for Driving Without Valid License

7:08 p.m. March 7, 2012: Police arrested a 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy at Hayward Lane and Hayward Court in Lake in the Hills on charges of driving without a valid driver's license, one headlight, and graduated driver more than one passenger younger than 20. He was released to his parents.

  • Crystal Lake Man Charged with No Valid Driver’s License

10:25 p.m. March 7, 2012: Police arrested Javier Aguilar, 39, of Crystal Lake, at James R. Rakow and Pyott roads in Lake in the Hills on charges of no valid driver's license, speeding in a construction zone and no insurance. He was released on bond.
