Speeding, No Valid Driver's License

Police arrested Diana L. Martinez, 18, at 9:03 a.m. on May 18 at Cary Road and Klasen Road in Algonquin for no valid driver's license, speeding and no proof of insurance. Martinez, of 307 Berkshire Drive in Crystal Lake, was released on a personal recognizance bond and is expected in court on June 27 in McHenry County. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Josiah D. Young, 21, at Longmeadow Parkway and Randall Road at 2:10 a.m. on May 19 for driving while license suspended. Young, of Quincy, was released on a personal recognizance board. He is next expected in court on June 6 in McHenry County. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Todd J. Bedgood, 44, at his home at 22 Dellwood Court in Algonquin at 6:07 a.m. on May 19 for domestic battery and unlawful interference with reporting a domestic battery. Bedgood was transported to Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Raul Gonzalez, 25, in the 1800 block of South Randall Road in Algonquin at 1:24 p.m. on May 19 for driving while license suspended. Gonzalez of Elgin was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on June 27 in McHenry County. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested a 17-year-old Lake in the Hills boy and a 17-year-old Crystal Lake boy at 8:55 p.m. on May 20 at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, and charged both with retail theft. The boys were referred to the Tri-County Area Peer Jury and then released to the custody of their parents.

Injury Accident
A car and motorcycle collided at 4:58 p.m. on May 18 at Algonquin Road and Annandale Drive. A 76-year-old man was taken to Sherman Hospital. 

Arrest Warrant
Police arrested Jermaine M. Garrett, 26, at Rakow and Pyott roads in Lake in the Hills at 1:06 a.m. on May 19. Garrett of Rockford was arrested on a Winnebago County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear for obstructing justice. He was later released on bond. 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Police arrested Steven J. Marrah, 27, at Randall Road and McHenry Avenue at 3:22 a.m. on May 19 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08 and improper lane usage. Marrah of Hampshire was later released on bond. 

Driving Under the Influence

Police arrested Randip S. Hundal, 29, of Addison at 3:30 a.m. on May 19 at Willow Funeral Home, 1415 W. Algonquin Road in Algonquin, for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. Hundal was later released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Nestor D. Leon, 34, of Carpentersville at Algonquin Road and Berg Street at 8:20 a.m. on May 19 for driving while license suspended. Leon was later released on bond. 

Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol

Police arrested Marcos Valdivia-Morales, 21, at 11:31 p.m. on May 19 for driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver's license and disobeying a traffic control device. Valdivia-Morales, of 245 Lincoln Street in Crystal Lake, was later released on bond. 

Possession of Marijuana

Police arrested Brian J. Plushkis, 25, at Evergreen Landscape, 3219 W. Algonquin Road in Algonquin at 7:13 a.m. on May 20 for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding. Plushkis, of 1043 Viewpoint Drive in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond. 

No Valid Driver's License

Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin girl in the 300 block of Village Creek Drive at 3:18 p.m. on May 20 for no valid driver's license and expired registration. She was later released to a parent. 

Underage Drinking

Police arrested Matthew A. Sorich, 18, of 3 Salford Court in Algonquin at 7:50 p.m. on May 20 for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was given a notice to appear.
