Local Hockey Team Wins Scholastic Cup

Girls hockey team wins Championship!

The Upper Fox Valley Girls High School Hockey Team won the Chicago Girls Metro High School Championship Scholastic Cup Division.

UFV, which plays its home games at the Crystal Ice House, won an exciting game in overtime. The final score was 6-5 over New Trier's varsity team.

The championship game verses New Trier Varsity was played Monday, March 11 at Centennial Ice Rink in Wilmette.

 

The UFV girls team welcomes high school participants. This year's 2012-2013 team is comprised of players from Cary Grove, Crystal Lake Central, Jacobs, McHenry, Prairie Ridge, Woodstock, Huntley, Dundee Crown and Hampshire High Schools.
