Congrats to Burnt Toast in Algonquin — this week's Chowdown Showdown champion.
After a week of taking votes from local Patch.com readers, has been chosen as the best place to get breakfast in McHenry County.
Patch.com readers in McHenry County chose Brunch Cafe, Burnt Toast and Around the Clock as finalists
While all of the restaurants obviously have a loyal following — we received several positive comments regarding all of the restaurants on area Patch.com sites as well as on our Facebook pages — Burnt Toast pulled ahead as the winner after bringing in the most votes in our Chowdown poll.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, Burnt Toast had 76 votes — 42 percent of the vote total — over Brunch Cafe's 69 votes. Around the Clock had 39 votes in the poll.
