Mostly sunny skies and a high of 49 degrees is in the forecast for Wednesday. Another windy day could be in store for residents with west winds between 10 to 20 mph, according to weatherbug.com. Wind gusts could reach as high as 35 mph later in the morning and early afternoon. Overnight, temperatures could reach as low as 35 degrees. 

A premiere for "A Shallow Grave," a movie written, directed and produced by Algonquin resident Matt Sommerfield, will be held Thursday night at Cinema 12 in Carpentersville. Several area actors are also starring in the film. Advance tickets are available for purchase online as well as at the theater's box office. Long-time Lake in the Hills village president Ed Plaza told Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Patch Tuesday he did not plan to run for re-election. The village president seats in Lake in the Hills and Algonquin will be up for re-election during the spring 2013 election as are village board trustee seats and the village clerk seats in both Algonquin and LITH. Those interested in running for the seats can pick-up packets at their village hall. 

If you are looking for a quick meal Wednesday evening, Wendy's, 245 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, will donate 15 percent of all food orders after 5 p.m. to assist those in need in Pembroke Township, Illinois. Pembroke Township is one of the poorest communities in the United States. The event is a part of the One Neighbor at a Time program
