Patricia 'Pat' Falconer, 88, of Cary; Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Volunteer

Patricia (Pat) Lorraine Falconer went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Dece. 27, 2013, at the age of 88. 

She was born in Chicago on March 13, 1925, to Herbert and Francis Elle.

Pat was united in marriage to Robert Gibb Falconer on Nov 13, 1943.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother throughout her life.

In addition to raising 12 children, Pat believed in giving back to the community and spent many years as a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly in Palatine and Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, FL.  

She also held a past role of president of SS. Peter and Paul Alter and Rosary Society in Cary and spent much of her adult life volunteering and campaigning for local politicians. 

After retirement, Patricia enrolled at Edison University to pursue her love of the arts.

Pat is survived by her children, Toni (Tim) Riggs; Robert (Patty) Falconer; Denise (Jerry) Stratton; Bonnie Falconer (God’s special gift to our family); Kevin Falconer; Patrice (Dave Aderhold) Molitor; Michael (Karen) Falconer; Monica (Jeff) Trendler; Lisa (Paul) Passaglia; and Heather (Marty) Behm.

She will be lovingly remembered as “Grandma Sunshine” by her 26 grandchildren; Marloe, Kerri and Bridgette Riggs, Angela, Christopher and Michael Lingk, Steve, Chris and Jeff Falconer and Tara Bennett, Sean and Matt Stratton, Jaime and Josh Molitor and Brett and Chad Aderhold, Brett and Tori Falconer, Nicole, Casey and Amy Trendler, Lindsey, Kevin and Kelsey Passaglia, Caelen and Rory Behm; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Geraldine Lingk and Stephen (Flip) Falconer; and sister, Dolores Priller. 

The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan 2, 2014, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., in Cary.  

Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. January 3rd at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 410 First St. Cary.

Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Fox River Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made In Patricia’s memory to Pioneer Center for Human Services, 4001 Dayton Street, McHenry, IL 60050, an organization providing services to adults with intellectual and development disabilities.
