A Fireside Christmas: Each year Fireside's Christmas offering has become, without question, the most popular and sought-after show of the season with its beautiful, original and entertaining musical that is filled with inspiration and love. This year’s show has a new look, new music, new choreography, and a new cast of performers. Trip takes place from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 and costs $109. Christmas Around the World: This exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry began in 1942 as a salute to American allies during World War II and continues to be a cherished tradition in Chicago. Trees from around the world are decorated with a wonderful variety of ornaments representing the culture and holiday traditions of each country, including St. Lucia Day in Sweden, Chinese New Year and Winter Solstice. Lunch is included at Ann Sather's, a lively neighborhood restaurant, followed by a stop at an ethnic neighborhood bakery and deli.
