Explore Artistic Skills with Metal Art Sculpture Class

Awaken your creativity and learn new skills in metal sculpture this summer with McHenry County College’s Continuing Education Department art classes.

The Metal Art Sculpture class meets from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22 through July 20 at the Woodstock Center, 912 Trakk Lane in Woodstock.

This course is designed to teach students the basic skills needed to perform adequate welds for metal art sculpture. Students will be taught how to safely and efficiently operate an arc and mig welder, oxy/acetylene cutting torch and plasma cutter.

Students need to wear long pants, long sleeved shirts and no open-toed or canvas shoes. Work boots are recommended. This class is designed for art enthusiasts who want to learn how to make metal stick together.

Cost is $249.  Use course ID: NFA S49 006 when registering.
