Friends Holding Fundraiser for Algonquin Girl, 3, Fighting Cancer

Friends of Autumn Novielli, 3, are holding a fundraiser this Saturday at Huntley Park District Recreation Center.

Friends and neighbors of a 3-year-old Algonquin girl fighting cancer are hosting a fundraiser this Saturday to help her family. 

Autumn Novielli was diagnosed with Stage 3 Burkitt's lymphoma last month. Burkitt's lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer in the lymphatic system.

Neighbor and friend, Patrina Roberts, also of Algonquin, is organizing a special holiday shopping/ fun event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Huntley Park District Recreation Center, 12015 Mill St., Huntley, to raise money for the Noviellis. 

Sales vendors will sell their crafts, food and other items. Additional activities planned include mini photo sessions, children's crafts/ games, and a cartoon character dressed as Santa (Santa Elmo and Santa Mickey).

Roberts said auction items for the day include tickets to the One Direction concert on Aug. 29, 2014, and Chicago sports games on the following dates: 

  • Chicago Bears vs. Packers on Dec. 29, 2013
  • Chicago Blackhawks on March 23, 2014
  • Chicago Bulls on March 28, 2014
  • Chicago Cubs - Murphy's Rooftop on Sept. 2, 2014

Also on the auction table: beautiful gift baskets, she said. Many of the vendors have donated raffle prizes. The following vendors have signed up for the event:
