For the fourth year in a row, Sophia has been ranked as the most popular girls' name of the year, according to the annual list of the 100 most popular names recently released by Babycenter.com.
Meanwhile, Jackson has been picked as the most popular boys' name of the year, bumping Aiden to number two. Prior to 2013, Aiden spent eight years in the top spot, according to Babycenter.com.
USA Today reports parents today are picking names with "meaning" over celebrity names with 81 percent liking a classic name and 63 percent disliking the "baby-naming trend of celebrity-inspired names."
