Northern Illinois Fire Museum To Host Blood Drive
The Northern Illinois Fire Museum in cooperation with the Heartland Blood Center of Crystal Lake and the Cary Fire Department is hosting a blood drive on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Cary Fire Station #1, located at 400 Cary-Algonquin Rd. in Cary.
Donors will recieve a FREE PANCAKE BREAKFAST provided by the Heartland Blood Center of Crystal Lake.

Hosting a drive with Heartland means that 100% of blood donated is returned to the communities served by Heartland. Heartland Blood Centers stands ready to assist other parts of the country during severe blood shortages, national emergencies and increased demands by the armed services. The summer months is when the blood supply drops do to a lack of donors.
Did you know that every day, over 550 pints of blood are needed by the patients in the 38 hospitals served by Heartland Blood Centers? We need your help to meet this need.

The Mission of the Northern Illinois Fire Museum is to develop and operate a facility promoting the fire service in Northern Illinois through education, training, and practical demonstrations, while preserving the history and heritage of the fire service through various collections and exhibits.
The goals of the Northern Illinois Fire Museum are to supply a location for a permanent display of fire related equipment of historic value, and to facilitate the temporary or permanent exchange of fire apparatus and to serve as an education center on all aspects of the fire service for the communities in Northern Illinois, and to also furnish a facility for restoring and preserving fire apparatus.
