Light of Christ Mobile Food Bank

Mobil Food Pantry
returns to Light of Christ

Light of Christ is hosting its second Mobile Food Pantry on
Saturday, September 7th from 11:00 AM till 1:00 p.m.  This is in a partnership with the Northern
Illinois Food Bank which is a “traveling food pantry” that delivers nutritious
food directly to hungry people in the community.  The mobile pantry has trucks designed to
deliver meat, produce, nonperishable food and other products to the hungry.  There is enough food to feed 150 to 200
individuals/families.  Light of Christ
will also have nurses on hand to offer blood pressure checks for the guests
attending the Mobile Food Pantry.  This
is a family ministry at Light of Christ made up of many volunteers of all ages available
to assist the guests in collecting the items, supplied by the Northern Illinois
Food Bank’s Pantry Program.  There will
also be volunteers to help put the items selected into vehicles.  If you have any further questions, please
check the Light of Christ website www.locchurch.com
