Community Corner

Fox River Corridor Plan kick-off meeting

The Villages of Algonquin and Carpentersville are collaborating to create a planfor the Fox River Corridor. The goal of the plan is to increase access to the river, enhance connectivity and recreational usage of the Corridor’s forest preserves and bike trails, improve water quality, and enliven the downtown areas in Algonquin and Carpentersville.

Please join us on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, for the public kick-off meeting. At this meeting, you can share your opinions on the strengths and issues of the Fox River area (spanning from Klasen Road in Algonquin to the north and ending at Carpentersville’s southern border).

All residents, business owners, community leaders, and other stakeholders from the community are invited to participate. Join us as we begin the process to create a plan for the Fox River Corridor. This meeting is free and open to the public. The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.

To RSVP, which is encouraged but not required, contact Samantha Robinson at srobinson@cmap.illinois.gov or 312-386-8712. For additional information, visit the project web page at http://www.cmap.illinois.gov/programs-and-resources/lta/fox-river.
