"Yellow" Water Status Begins Today

Even addresses may water on even calendar days, and odd addresses may water on odd calendar days, before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m.

Summer weather has arrived! As we move into the hot, dry season, water conservation becomes more important. The village of Algonquin is committed to conserving this valuable resource and is now strictly enforcing outside watering regulations—violators will be ticketed.

Effective Thursday, June 30 the village of Algonquin will begin the “yellow” water status. Yellow status means even/odd days for watering landscaping before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. Even addresses may water on even calendar days, and odd addresses may water on odd calendar days, before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m.

All water classifications (green, yellow, orange, and red) prohibit watering the lawn or landscaping between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
