Village of LITH Undergoes Water Flushing Program

The Village recommends that residents refrain from doing laundry during times in which the flushing occurs in their subdivision, according to a public works department press release.

The village of Lake in the Hills will undergo a water flushing program over the next couple weeks that will affect all public water supply mains.

The Lake in the Hills Public Works Department provided the following information on the upcoming water flushing program:

During the week of April 18, phase one of the flushing program will address all areas of the water system West of Randall Road. All remaining areas East of Randall Road will be flushed during the following week of April 25.

All flushing is scheduled to be completed by Friday, April 29. The Village does not expect to conduct any flushing on weekends or after 6 p.m. on weekdays during this time.

The flushing program is designed to improve water quality throughout Lake in the Hills.

Notification signs will be placed at the main entrances to each subdivision at least 12 hours prior to flushing and be removed when work in the subdivision is completed.
