Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northern Illinois
The thunderstorm warning is in effect until 9:15 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 9:15 p.m. for northern Illinois including Algonquin.
At 8:43 p.m. Doppler radar indicated a severe storm line capable of producing destructive hurricane force winds locally in excess of 80 mph.
The warning has been issued for southeastern McHenry County.
