Review Board Denies Centegra Proposal

The Illinois Facilities and Services Review Board voted down two separate proposals Tuesday from Centegra in Huntley and Mercy in Crystal Lake.

The Illinois Facilities and Services Review Board voted down a Centegra proposal Tuesday afternoon for a hospital in Huntley.

The 8-1 vote came after an earlier 8-1 vote against a Mercy proposal for a hospital in Crystal Lake.

Both Mercy and Centegra proposed to establish 128-bed acute care hospitals.

The review board vote came shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after hours of testimony in a packed conference room at the Holiday Inn Banquet & Conference Center in Joliet.
