Police Bust Grow House, Arrest 4 on Drug Charges

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office recovered 72 marijuana plants with a street value of $7,200.

A search of an Island Lake home by police this past week turned up $7,200 in marijuana and resulted in four arrests.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Illinois State Police conducted a search on June 17 at 4606 Pesz Road in Island Lake, according to a McHenry County Sheriff's Office press release.

Upon searching the home, police recovered 72 suspected marijuana plants and lights and ballasts used to grow marijuana, according to the release. The street value of plants is estimated at $7,200.

Heroin, trace amounts of cocaine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were also removed from the home, according to the news release.

  • Christopher S. Keeton, 43, of 4606 Pesz Road in Island Lake, was charged with unlawful production of a cannabis sativa plant, theft, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. A $100,000 bond was issued for Keeton.
  • Robert W. Roscher, 46, of 4606 Pesz Road in Island Lake, was charged with unlawful production of a cannabis sativa plant, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis. A $75,000 bond was issued for Roscher.
  • Emily L. Andrew, 30, 10463 270th Avenue in Trevor, Wis., was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. A $7,500 bond was issued for Andrew.
  • Bradley G. Linnane, 29, 4606 Pesz Road of Island Lake, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis.
