Patch Flash: Study Ranks Chicago Expressways Worst In Country

Chicagoland news to talk about: Inmate charged for soliciting murder of judge, attorney, ex-wife.

 

A newly-released report by the Texas Transportation Institute ranks two Chicago expressways among the worst commuting routes in the country.The northbound lanes of I-55 between IL-53 and IL-83 were ranked among the top 20 congested commutes, and the northbound section of I-55 between Harlem and County Line Rd. was named one of the country's most "reliably unreliable" stretches, as was the eastbound section of the Eisenhower between Higgins and Austin, according to the report.

On December 20, 2010, Judge Fawell sentenced Vanderark to 16 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he pled guilty to Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI), a Class X Felony.

and suspects the outbreak started at some sort of athletic gathering at Cary-Grove High School in August, said Debra Quackenbush, the health department's community information coordinator. From there, the cases began to grow in Cary-Grove High School, eventually spreading to several more schools in Cary, Lake in the Hills, Algonquin, Huntley and Crystal Lake, and then, in recent weeks, to the general public. As of Monday, 99 residents from 12 communities in McHenry County — ranging in age from 3 months old to 37 years old — had pertussis or whooping cough. 

The 52-year-old allegedly fondled, touched and made inappropriate comments to 17- and 18-year-old workers at the Niles store.

During the event, Rutherford did an online search and found that the state was holding $14,564.64 the school district was unaware of. To make the event extra sweet, 55 percent of the people in attendance found money or property the treasurer's office was holding for them.
