Patch Flash: ‘Dead’ Highland Park Man Guilty of Identity Theft

A man who disappeared from the Chicago area more than 32 years ago and was living in Las Vegas has pleaded guilty to a felony identity fraud charge. Arthur Gerald Jones, 73, was declared legally dead 25 years ago after leaving a wife and three children in Highland Park.

The ruling affirmed the decision by the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police arbitration that Zane Seipler should have been assigned a three-day suspension for his infractions rather than being discharged from his post in 2008.

. Kelly Lima told the board that she is the sole support of her family and brings home just $1,643 per month. She said she was unable to make her full mortgage payment this month.

Students are also affected by economic stress. District 67 Supt. Jamie Reilly told Sen. Dick Durbin children came to school feeling the pain of their parents’ financial problems. “They need the emotional support in schools,” Reilly said, referring to the jobs act preventing layoffs of school personnel, if passed.
