NWS: April (Snow) Showers Set Record

On Monday, 2.3 inches of snow reportedly fell in Hebron in McHenry County.

The Chicago area set a new snowfall record.

Today, .6 inches of snowfall was recorded at Chicago-O'Hare International Airport compared to the old record for this date of .4 inches in 1910, according to the National Weather Service.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that more snow fell in the north and western suburbs, including 2.3 inches in Hebron in McHenry County.

Rain and thunderstorms are predicted throughout the rest of this week in Lake in the Hills with temperatures expected to be in the 40s and 50s, according to the National Weather Service.
