National Weather Service Issues Flood Warning for Algonquin

Forecasters are predicting Fox River water levels to rise above the flood stage by this afternoon and continue to rise to 3.2 feet by Saturday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Fox River in Algonquin from this afternoon until further notice.

At 3:45 a.m this morning, the stage was at 1.9 feet. The flood stage is 3.0 feet. Forecasters are predicting water levels to rise above the flood stage by this afternoon and continue to rise to 3.2 feet by Saturday afternoon.

Homes threatened by the flooding are in the Richardson subdivision near Algonquin.
