UPDATE: LITH Teen Seriously Injured in Crash Remains Hospitalized
The accident happened Wednesday afternoon.
UPDATE Aug. 12: Barry Harkins was treated at Sherman Hospital in Elgin and then transferred to another hospital, a hospital spokeswoman told Patch Thursday afternoon.
No additional information on Harkins condition was immediately availalbe.

The Northwest Herald report an 18-year-old Lake in the Hills man was seriously injured after riding his bike across Randall Road and colliding with a car.
Barry Harkins attempted to cross Randall Road at the same time that a Ford Taurus was turning left onto Village Road around 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, according to the NW Herald.
