Algonquin-LITH Fire Chief Kevin Rynders Resigns; District Looks for New Chief

The Northwest Herald reports Rynders final day was on Jan. 13.

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District Fire Chief Kevin Rynders has resigned and the protection district is now looking for a new chief, according to the Northwest Herald.

Rynders told the Northwest Herald that while his contract was up in April, he and the board decided he would resign earlier, citing a desire from the board to move in "different direction."

Fire Protection District Board Virgil Corless told the Northwest Herald they needed a chief that would embrace and help prep for legislation "that calls for making it easier to merge fire districts."
