IDOT Employee Killed in Woodstock Crash

The Northwest Herald reports that police continue to investigate the accident.

A 34-year-old Illinois Department of Transportation worker was killed this morning when a car struck him along Route 14 near Route 47 in Woodstock, according to the Northwest Herald. 

Ryan J. Nichols of Kenosha was taking measurements of a roadway when the crash occurred around 8:34 a.m., and was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. 

James J. Berles, 67, of Woodstock, drove the car that struck Nichols, according to the NW Herald.
