Former Jersey Boys Cast to Rock Jacobs' Stage

Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Rotary Club fundraiser will be held Saturday, June 18.

The Jacobs High School Auditorium will transform into a Broadway stage Saturday with Under the Street Lamp — a show performed by former Jersey Boys cast members.

The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Rotary Club is bringing together four former Jersey Boys and their band for the performance, which will raise money for college scholarships for high school seniors, said Rotary Club member Mary Ann O'Hara.

"It's kind of like just going to a Broadway Show,'' O'Hara said. "They do this for not-for-profit organizations.''

Former cast members Christopher Kale Jones, Michael Ingersoll, Shonn Wiley and Michael Cunio will perform. Crystal Lake resident David Sarkis is production manager for the show. Sarkis is a guitarist who plays at Duke's Alehouse in downtown Crystal Lake on Thursday nights.

Under the Street Lamp highlights the Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys – the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons – featuring '60s classics.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. event can be purchased on the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Rotary's website. Tickets cost $40 and $65.

There are 750 seats available. The money will be used for the Rotary's annual college scholarship awards, given to high school seniors who are community leaders, O'Hara said.
