Get your appetite ready and make those reservations for Easter brunch.

As the classic Peter Cottontail song goes, “hippity-hop, Easter’s on its way,” so it’s time to get those brunch reservations made.

There are several favorite restaurants in the area offering lots of choices on their Easter brunch buffet.

General Manager Dimitri Poulos promises you’ll love the restaurant’s premier brunch. He has managed a casino buffet and brings that extravegant tradition, and more, to Niko’s. For reservations, call 847-847-669-6644. 

Jameson’s Restaurant, Prairie Lodge, Sun City Huntley, Route 47, Huntley

The restaurant is expected to open by next week and is taking reservations for Easter brunch. According to Sun City’s website, Jameson’s promises a “few surprises” on its buffet. It will offer brunch every Sunday. For reservations, call 847-515-7344 or 847- 515-7675.

Pinecrest Restaurant, 11220 Algonquin Road, Huntley

Easter brunch features a carving station and lots of other goodies. For reservations, call 847.669.1400.

Burnt Toast, 2520 Bunker Hill Drive, Algonquin

If you don’t want a buffet brunch, Burnt Toast has lots of brunch items to order off its menu. One of its specialties is the Grand Marnier French Toast made with bananas, pecans, and cinnamon sugar, according to its website. The restaurant recently opened a new location in Algonquin. No reservations are accepted during the weekend. For more information, call 847-854-9552.

Holiday Inn Crystal Lake, 800 S. Route 31, Crystal Lake

The hotel’s Three Oaks Restaurant has a champagne brunch for adults and a special children’s buffet. There’s a dessert display, including a chocolate fountain, everyone will enjoy. For reservations, call 815-404-2019.

, 20 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin

Port Edward is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. offering their regular champagne brunch for the holiday. This includes all you can eat international, seafood, and traditional buffets. Reservations are necessary and very few times are still available. The price of the buffet is $32.99 per person. Reservations are recommended to allow for adequate time and seating. Port Edward has been open on Easter for the last 45 years. For reservations, call 847-658-5960.

Mandile’s Restaurant, 2160 Lake Cook Road, Algonquin

Mandile's is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Easter. Reservations are not required, but highly recommended. They are offering brunch at $24 per adult, $13 per child (10 and under). Dishes include honey glazed baked ham, white fish, chicken marsala, and eggs benedict amongst other choices. General Manager Michael Mandile said the restaurant has been open on Easter for 13 years and they usually reach capacity. For reservations, call 847-458-4000.

D’Andrea Banquets, 4419 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake

D’Andrea is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and reservations are highly recommended. The last seating time is 2 p.m. The extensive buffet options include ribs, pulled pork, pasta, chicken, breakfast, and a full juice bar. Prices are $24.95 for adults, $11.95 for kids, and children under age three eat free. For reservations, call 815-459-7234.
