Help 'Stuff the Bus' for District 300 This Saturday

The district's annual Stuff the Bus event collects school supplies for homeless students and students in need.

District 300's annual "Stuff the Bus" event - also known as Project Backpack - is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Rd., Algonquin.

The special event collects schools supplies for area homeless students and District 300 students in need.

Those wishing to help a homeless or needy student start the school year off with the necessary supplies are asked to stop by the "Stuff the Bus" collection drive with school supply donations.

Organizers are seeking gender-neutral backpacks, folders, notebooks, loose-leaf / filler paper, pencils, pens, scissors, glue sticks, rulers, and crayons.

Donors can also drop off supplies anytime in June or July at any District 300 school or the D300 Central Office, 300 Cleveland Avenue, Carpentersville.

"Let's STUFF THE BUS with school supplies and put smiles on the faces of less fortunate children in the D300 community!"
