Crystal Lake South Teen Hospitalized Following Fall in Canyon

The Northwest Herald is reporting that a 17-year-old Crystal Lake South student fell while trying to cross a log over a canyon in Lake Delton, Wis.

A Crystal Lake South teen was taken to a Madison hospital after falling 30 feet into a canyon in Lake Delton, Wis., during the early morning hours of Sunday.

The Northwest Herald is reporting that the condition of the 17-year-old Crystal Lake South High School student is not available.

The fall reportedly occurred when the teen was trying to walk across a log over a canyon the runs through the property of the Wilderness Resort Waterpark near the Wisconsin Dells and lost his balance, according to the NW Herald. Police told the NW Herald that the boy likely fell 30 feet and alcohol is believed to be a factor.

The boy was taken by helicopter to Madison and then to US Hospital in Madison.
