Blotter: Drunken Driving Arrests; Burglary Reported

The Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from Thursday to Sunday.

Drunken Driving

Police arrested a 21-year-old Crystal Lake man at Apache Trail and Algonquin Road at 3:52 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and on a warrant out of McHenry County for driving under the influence, as well as for improper lane use and driving without insurance. He later was released on bond.

Police arrested a 31-year-old Woodstock man at Square Barn Road and Algonquin Road at 4:02 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. He later was released on bond. 

Criminal Damage to Property

A vehicle reportedly was damaged in a driveway in the 100 block of Harvest Gate about 2:15 p.m. Sunday. 

Battery at Moretti's

Police responded to a delayed battery report at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road. The battery reportedly involved two males. 

Drunken Driving

Police arrested a 24-year-old Algonquin man at Route 31 and Virginia Road at 1:41 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol concentration exceeding .08, driving without insurance and speeding. He later was released on bond.

Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage

Police arrested a 20-year-old Island Lake man at , 241 N. Randall Road, at 11:02 p.m. Saturday on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give aid or information and squealing tires. He later was released on bond. 

Unlawful Visitation Interference

Police arrested a 34-year-old Marengo woman at , 1115 Crystal Lake Road, at 8:11 p.m. Saturday on a charge of interference with court-ordered visitation. She later was released on bond. 

Theft

Police responded to for a theft report at 3:01 a.m. Saturday. A purse, passport, cellphone and debit card were reported taken. 

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Police responded to at 3:56 a.m. Saturday for a report of a rear window that had been shattered. 

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

Police responded to at 4:10 a.m. Saturday for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. A purse, gym bag, money and debit card were taken from a locked vehicle. 

Dog Bite

Police responded to the 100 block of Annandale Drive for a report of a 16-year-old boy who was bit in the face by a dog at 10:21 p.m. Saturday. The boy was taken to Provena Medical Care. 

Retail Theft Arrest

Police arrested a 56-year-old West Dundee woman at Costco, 250 N. Randall Road, at 2:18 p.m. Friday for retail theft. She later was released on bond. 

Theft

Police are investigating the theft of a Play Station 3 from a home in the 500 block of Seminole Trail. Police received the report at 2:56 p.m. Friday. 

Theft

Police responded to , 101 N. Randall Road, at 4:37 p.m. Friday for a theft of alcohol. An additional theft of alcohol report was made at 7:47 p.m. Friday. Both thefts are under investigation.

Drunken Driving Arrest

Police arrested a 26-year-old Crystal Lake man at Randall and Miller roads at 3:34 a.m. Thursday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08, and failure to use headlights. He later was released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested a 34-year-old Marengo man at Lakewood Road and Sullivan Pass at 4:14 p.m. Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended. He later was released on bond. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Police responded to Platinum Auto, 1391 Industrial Drive, at 8:20 a.m. for a report that a rock had been thrown through the front window. The criminal damage to property report was turned over to investigations.

Theft

Police responded to 100 block of Northlight Passe at 9:08 a.m. Thursday for a reported theft of more than $300 from a home. The theft report was turned over to investigations. 

Residential Burglary

Police received a burglary report in the 100 block of Quail Run at 7:47 p.m. Thursday. A house was entered and items removed. The burglary was turned over to investigations.
