Area Woman Goes to Hospital Following Crash

The accident occurred at the intersection of Pyott and Algonquin roads Monday afternoon.

A 55-year-old Crystal Lake woman was taken to an area hospital this past Monday following a traffic crash.

The accident occurred around 2:40 p.m. Monday when the woman drove her car off the road and hit a utility pole at the intersection of Pyott Road and Oak Street,  said Sgt. Eric Decker of the Lake in the Hills Police Department.

Judith Daily, of 6507 Scott Lane in Crystal Lake, was taken to Sherman Hospital for a chest injury, Decker said. The injury was non-life threatening.

A significant amount of damage was done to the vehicle after the front end and then the side of the car collided with the pole, Decker said.
