Update: Algonquin Teen Found Dead

An Algonquin teen was found dead early Friday in his home, according to a Northwest Herald article. 17-year-old and Dundee Crown student Christian Stilwell is believed to have died of natural causes.

An autopsy was conducted Saturday morning and McHenry County Deputy Coroner Kim Bostic said further studies are needed to conclude the cause of death. There was no idication of trauma, drugs or suicide, she said.

"In cases where it was a natural death, it is not uncommon to have to conduct further studies," Bostic said.

Visitation and memorial service will be from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 in the lakeside auditorium at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington. The memorial service will start at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund will be established in honor of Christian. Details to follow.
