Jenny Hausch was on vacation with her family in the Florida Keys when the incident occurred, according to local media reports.

A Crystal Lake woman vacationing in the Florida Keys is lucky to be alive after a 300-pound eagle ray jumped out of the water and into her boat, knocking her down, according to local media reports.

The eagle landed on top of Jenny Hausch, of Crystal Lake, while she was on a boat tour with her family, the Northwest Herald and Daily Herald are reporting. Hausch was able to walk away from the incident without any serious injuries.

According to media reports, not all who have witnessed similar close-up encounters have been so lucky. A barb, similar to the barbs on eagles rays, killed "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, according to the Daily Herald article.
