McHenry County College to Host Trip Preview for Ireland Oct. 18

Explore a 10-day air tour to Ireland at a trip preview on Oct. 18 from 3-4 p.m. in Room B168 at McHenry County College.

Explore more than a wee bit of Ireland with a 10-day air tour to this enchanted island that features ancient castles, cathedrals, magnificent landscapes and a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone. To find out more about this trip sponsored by the McHenry County College’s Trips and Tours program, come to a trip preview from 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 in Room B168-169 at McHenry County College, 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.

The trip itself departs on Oct. 6, 2013 and includes 15 meals, air from Chicago, dinner and evening at the Merry Ploughboys Pub. In Dublin, visitors will see St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Book of Kells at Trinity College and the Guinness Storehouse. Other stops will include Glendalough, Kilkenny Castle, Old Midleton Distillery, Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, King John’s Castle in Limerick and the Kissane Sheep Farm. A Medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle is also included.

Cost of this trip is $3,343 per person for double and $3,932 per-person for single.
