The D300 Foundation for Educational Excellence Presents 'Into the Woods Junior' At H.D. Jacobs High School

Summer theater at its best starts with "D300 Foundation Presents."

The D300 Foundation for Educational Excellence is proud to present its second year of “Summer Theatre” for District 300.

Our second exciting year of summer theatre again will bring together both middle and high school students from across the district. Auditions are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 3 and June 4 at Lake in the Hills Village Hall. To sign up for an audition visit: http://bit.ly/d300presents.

This wonderful production, with words and music by Stephen Sondheim is based on the book, Into the Woods, by James Lapine. Into the Woods blends various familiar fairy tales with an original story of a childless baker and his wife, who mobilize the action of the story by attempting to reverse a curse on their family so they can have a child.

Kimberly Sass, the musical director, is a Hampshire Elementary School music teacher, and Jessica Cano, the choreographer, is a special education teacher at Golfview.

The D300 Foundation’s mission is to enhance and extend learning opportunities in all D300 schools. Since the D300 Foundation was founded in 2002, it has awarded nearly one half of a million dollars in local education grants – all made possible by private donations and special fundraisers.

We invite you to view some of the projects and grants the D300 Foundation has funded; please visit our website at: www.d300foundation.org.
