Polish Delis Delight (Me)

I love the Polish delis in the area, and regularly shop at two: the Rosmart Deli at 128 Eastgate Court in Algonquin (same center as Nero's Pizza), and Ania's Polish Deli in Lake Zurich - it's in the same center on 12 that houses Wal Mart and Goodwill.

Ania's is a might bigger, but both have great meat counters and breads - I like the rye loafs that come from Chris' Bakery in Chicago; both places also have an assortment of locally baked French breads as well.

After you've picked up your deli order (I am particularly fond of the wide selection of salamis and hams), wander the aisles to scoop up some Euro-groceries.  You'll find the packets of dry soup mixes from Poland much more exciting than similar US products.

Ania's had a buffet which seems to be closed now, but you can get plenty of hot foods at their deli counter, including great pierogies.
