Where will the people of Lake in the Hills ring in the New Year?

Fortunately, there are plenty of options right here in town.

Several local establishments are open for business Saturday night. Some have planned festive celebrations to welcome 2012. Others will serve regular menus, by popular demand.

So, whether people are looking to celebrate with pizza and pasta, or egg rolls and stir fry, Lake in the Hills has plenty of places to party closer to home.

Moretti’s Ristorante and Pizzeria

Moretti’s Kids New Years Eve Party 2012

Moretti’s has two children parties planned, one at 1:30 p.m. and another at 4:30 p.m. However, the 4:30 p.m. party is already sold out, according to Moretti’s. The afternoon celebrations will provide DJ music, balloon blast, party favors, pizza and pasta, and a kids countdown. Prices are $7.99 for children, and $11.99 for adults. Reservations are required as seating is limited.

Moretti’s NYE Club 2012 Package – For adults

The $59 per person ticket guarantees admission into Moretti’s New Year’s Eve Club 2012 party from 7:30 to 11 p.m. With the ticket, party goers enjoy an open bar from 8 p.m. to midnight, and dinner buffet from 8 to 10 p.m. Moretti’s will provide the DJ and dancing until 4 a.m. The celebration promises a multi-media midnight countdown with balloons, party favors and champagne toast.

People should reserve their tickets ahead of time by calling Moretti’s at 847-854-7220. With reservations, the ticket can be paid for at the door, according to Moretti’s staff.

Chen Chinese Cuisine

Chen opens for dining from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. New Year’s Eve. The restaurant, which offers a traditional Chinese and Chinese American menu, will offer its regular menu items on New Year’s Eve, according to the restaurant manager. Reservations are needed for larger parties.

Bistro Wasabi

4590 W. Algonquin Rd., Lake in the Hills, 847-515-2700

Bistro Wasabi opens at 5 p.m. New Year’s Eve, and although the restaurant has already scheduled several seatings for the night, a few reservation times - as of Tuesday - remained open. Those interested in celebrating the New Year with Japanese cuisine, should make reservations as the restaurant managers expect to fill all seating for the night.

La Trattoria Italian Restaurant

9541 Ackman Rd., Lake in the Hills, 847-669-9840

La Trattoria plans to present patrons with its normal Italian menu and a few special dishes for New Year’s Eve. Seatings are available from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Call for reservations.
