Three Area Bars Hold Turkey Testicle Festivals This Year

The famed turkey testicle festival in Huntley will have some new competition this year.

Jim “Igg” Hennig, the new owner of Clasen's Tavern, 16728 Depot St. in Union, will host a turkey testicle festival this year at his bar, according to the Northwest Herald. Henning is the founder of Huntley's popular turkey testicle festival, which he started in 1982 at Parkside Pub and which continues to draw crowds out to the bar each year on the day before Thanksgiving, according to the Northwest Herald.

Clasen's turkey testicle festival will begin at 1 p.m. and there is a $10 admission, which will include a "free pair of turkey testicles," according to the bar's website. There will be a heated tent and entertainment by 2EZ and Pirates Over 40.

Doors will open at Parkside Pub's turkey testicle festival at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and will stay open until midnight, according to the Parkside Pub website. Admission to Parkside Pub, 11721 Main Street in Huntley, is $10.

There will be live bands throughout the day and night, including Friction, Hairbangers Ball and Mike & Joe. There will be a large heated tent to allow for more room during Parkside's turkey testicle festival.

Donley's Wild West Town, 8512 S. Union Road in Union, will also host its annual turkey testicle festival on Wednesday, Nov. 27, according to Donley's Facebook page. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and admission is $10 and will include complimentary turkey testicles, games and free giveaway. Donley's will also have a D.J. and live music by Alex & the Allstars, according to the Facebook page.
