Local Jewel-Osco Stores to Get Twinkies' Shipments Tuesday

Jewel-Osco will receive what could be one of the final shipments of Hostess-brand products on Tuesday, according to the Jewel-Osco Facebook page.

Twinkies, Zingers, Ding Dongs and Orange Cupcakes will be delivered at different times throughout the day to select Chicagoland Jewel-Osco stores, according to the Facebook page.

In Algonquin, the Jewel Osco stores at 103 South Randall Road and 1501 East Algonquin Road should expect shipments between 5 and 11 p.m. Tuesday. Here are when other area stores are expected to receive shipments:

• Huntley Jewel-Osco, 13200 Village Green Drive, Tuesday morning
• Crystal Lake, 6140 Northwest Highway, Tuesday morning
• Cary, 696 Northwest Highway, 4 to 10 p.m.

Jewel-Osco stores will receive over 20,000 units of Twinkies in 10-packs on Tuesday, according to the Daily Herald. There is no limit on how many Twinkies customers can purchase and the 10-packs will be sold at regular price: $4.29, according to the Daily Herald.

The last shipments of Hostess products are being delivered after Hostess Brands got court approval in November to "close and sell all of its assets," according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
