New Liquor Store on Randall Plans to Open This Week

The owner of LITH Liquor said his story in Acorn Plaza will serve as a convenience shop selling liquor, tobacco and wine at hours when some other establishments are closed.

Minesh Patel is looking forward to joining the Lake in the Hills business sector.

“I am happy to become part of the community,” Patel said. “I hope this store generates good business, in light of the economy, for the village of Lake in the Hills.”  

Patel will open LITH Liquor, 461 N. Randall Road, on Nov. 11.

The store of more than 2,000 square feet is located in the Acorn Lane Commercial Center, otherwise known as Acorn Plaza, at the northeast corner of Acorn and Randall roads.

“I have experience in this business,” Patel said. “I owned a liquor store for eight years.”

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the grand opening of LITH Liquor at 9 a.m. Nov. 11, and welcome Patel and his business to the chamber community.

. He also obtained a liquor license from the village to operate the business and already has erected a sign on the storefront.

Patel said LITH Liquor will serve as a convenience shop selling liquor, tobacco and wine at hours when some other establishments are closed.

The store will serve customers from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays; from 10 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays; and from noon to 8 p.m. Sundays, Patel said.

“We will have a nice selection of cigars in a walk-in humidor,” Patel said. “And we will have all types of wines.”
